William Saliba, the French defender for Arsenal, has been out with an ankle injury since the start of the season. The 18-year-old has made a number of appearances for the Gunners in pre-season and was expected to make his debut against Huddersfield Town at the weekend.
However, he picked up an ankle injury during training on Monday that ruled him out of the game. He is currently being treated by the medical team and is not expected to return to action until after the international break.
The injury comes as a blow for Arsenal, who have struggled defensively this season. Saliba's absence will be a significant loss for the club, especially given their upcoming matches against Chelsea and Manchester United. However, manager Mikel Arteta has said that the club will support Saliba through the recovery process and continue to work hard to bring him back to full fitness as soon as possible.
