Matteo Guendouzi, the Arsenal midfielder who was banned for one match for his role in the racist incident against Chelsea last season, has returned to Marseille on loan.
The 21-year-old has been released by Arsenal and signed for Marseille on a two-and-a-half year deal with an option for another year.
Guendouzi played for Marseille in their 4-2 win over Rennes on Sunday, coming on as a substitute in the second half.
He is expected to make his debut for the club when they face Lille on Tuesday.
In a statement released by Marseille, Guendouzi said: "I am very happy to be back at Marseille and I can't wait to start my new chapter with this great club."
"I want to thank the fans for their support and I hope to contribute to the success of the team."
Marseille president Jean-Pierre Bernès added: "We are delighted that Matteo will be joining us on loan until the end of the season.
"He is a talented player and we are looking forward to working closely with him to help our squad improve."
